The rapid iteration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has driven the development of intelligent ophthalmology, with enormous potential for application in the regional screening, precise diagnosis, and disease progression prediction of intractable blinding diseases, particularly glaucoma. AIM: ing to encourage collaborative discussions among ophthalmologists, this article elucidates the application potential and direction of AI in the prevention and treatment of glaucoma from the aspects of enhancing glaucoma screening and diagnosis levels through AI, promoting initiatives for the application of AI, and exploring the prospects of AI.
