This article is intended to briefly introduce the latest trends and the overall current situation surrounding the definition of glaucoma. This article also summarizes the difficulties in understanding the definition of glaucoma. Included is a theoretical discussion of how to differentiate the traditional and modern concepts of glaucoma and how to make glaucoma classification clinically practicable and understandable.
