An arc-shaped scleral flap is proposed for trabeculectomy as a separate technique. The arc-shaped flap is proposed with a view of a more easier performance and a better adaptation due to the lack of angles in the incision. After the separate fashioning of the trabeculectomy, the results are identical as with triangular, square-like or polygonal flap. Trabeculectomy with arc-shaped scleral flap was performed on 18 eyes. After the trabeculectomy, the measured intraocular pressure was mean 18.32 ± 0.33 mmHg 1 week after the procedure and 18,23 ± 0.22 mmHg 1 year after the procedure, and the visual acuity was mean 6 /36 1 week after the procedure and 6/30 1 year after the procedure.
