The purpose of this study was to present the results of the treatment of refractory glaucoma with diode laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (DLCT). Eighty-eight patients (aged from 10-91 years) were treated with diode laser. The follow-up was six months. Mean intraocular pressure (IOP) before treatment was 38.2 mmHg, one week after treatment 23.8 mmHg, one month after treatment 21.3 mmHg, and after six months 19.0 mmHg. The authors repeated the treatment in five patients (5.6%). In two patients, they observed hypotony of about 2 mmHg. Diode laser cycloablation is a relatively safe and effective method in treatment of advanced refractory glaucoma.LA: Polish
