Problems as neuroprotection and optic nerve head blood flow are every day assuming greater importance in the therapeutic strategy of glaucoma. Alpha-2 agonists, and in particular way, the highly selective ones such as brimonidine, proved to be effective in this sense because they produce a hypotensive effect without inducing alterations of optic nerve head blood flow.LA: Italian
