Nanophthalmos is a rare clinical condition that may lead to serious sight-threatening complications. Knowledge of the physiopathology of nanophthalmos is very useful to understanding the relationships between the different pressures within the eye. With aging, nanophthalmos leads to chronic angle-closure glaucoma that is very difficult to manage, since very severe complications may occur. In this paper, we review the clinical signs, physiopathology, and treatment of nanophthalmos. LA: French
