A clinical observation of secondary glaucoma caused by ocular contusion in 105 cases

AIM: To investigate the causes and therapy of secondary glaucoma in ocular contusion. METHODS: A total of 105 cases of patients with secondary glaucoma caused by ocular contusion were retrospectively reviewed. RESULTS: The causes and therapies varied in different kinds of secondary glaucoma in ocular contusion. Visual acuity was significantly improved in 79.5% of cases. Ocular pressure became normal in 89 cases with the curative rate of 84.8%. CONCLUSION: Glaucoma second to ocular contusion should be discovered and treated in time, so as to avoid the further damages to the visual function. LA: Chinese
