Observation on the clinical effects of sodium hyaluranate in glaucoma surgery

AIM: To explore the effects of sodium hyalurantae in trabeculectomy. METHODS: The effects of 36 eyes (34 cases) who had taken glaucoma trabeculectomy wirth sodium hyalurantae were analyzed retrospectively, and compared with control group. RESULTS: After glaucoma trabeculectomy, the incidence of shallow anterior chamber was 6% in using sodium hyalurantae group, while in control group, it was 42%. CONCLUSION: Sodium hyalurantae is injected in glaucoma trabeculectomy, the incidence of shallow anterior chamber will decrease greatly after trabeculectomy.
