Method of operations to cure nanophthalmos developed glaucoma and choroidal leakage

AIM: To discuss the method and efficiency of operations to cure nanophthalmos developed glaucoma and choroidal leekage METHODS: Seven cases (14 eyes) who had been diagnosed nanophthalmos developed glaucoma and choroidal leekage to introduce combined trabeculectomy, phacoemulsification, foldable intraocular lens implantation (triple procedure) or sclerotic plate ablated, deep layer of sclera ablated (fourfold procedure). The average follow-up time was 2 years. RESULTS: Corrected vision of 12 eyes were enhanced after the operation and the intraocular pressure were keep stability during 10-20 mmHg. choroidal leekage was reattachment after 1 week. CONCLUSION: The triple procedure or four procedure have good effect in curing nanophtalmos developed glaucoma and choroidal leekage. LA: Chinese
