A prospective, nonrandomized, controlled, phase 1 clinical trial was conducted to evaluate use of the scleral expansion band for lowering elevated intraocular (IOP) pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or primary open-angle glaucoma. The procedure lowered IOP by increasing outflow.*
