AIM: To investigate and analyse the curative effects of cataract phacoemulsification with clear corneal incision and intraocular lens implantation after glaucoma filtering surgery. METHODS: A total of 32 eyes with cataract after glaucoma filtering surgery received phacoemulsification with clear corneal incision and intraocular lens implantation; The postoperative vision, intraocular pressure and complications were analysed. RESULTS: The visual acuity of all eyes were improved after surgery. The visual acuity of 59% of the eyes increased to 0.3-0.4, and 25% of the eyes to 0.5 or better. Thirty-one eyes (97%) had normal intraocular pressure. The post-operative complications included corneal endothelial edema, anterior uveal reaction, hyphema and posterior capsule opacification. CONCLUSION: The phacoemulsification with clear corneal incision is safe and effective. It can improve their visual acuity and maintain the function of filtering blebs. LA: Chinese
