Trabecular meshwork, juxtacanalicular tissue and inner wall cells of Schlemm's canal play a critical role in the normal resistance of aqueous humor outflow. It is important that the cytoskeletal actin adjusts the stability of the cell morphology, cell-to-cell and cell-to-extracellular matrix attachments. The actin agent can lead to the change of cytoskeleton of the trabecular meshwork cells. Compounds such as protein kinase inhibitor, anti-actin drugs etc. can lead to the change of cytoskeleton of the trabecular meshwork cells, effect aqueous humor outflow and reduce intraocular pressure. The actin agent may be an useful antiglaucoma strategy. The effects and mechanisms of these compounds are discussed. LA: Chinese
