Octopus(trademark) type automated perimetry and glaucoma

Nowadays, Octopus(trademark) or Humphrey(trademark) type automated perimetry is the best test available when following up the evolution of glaucoma. On the Octopus(trademark) apparatus, 3 methods are proposed: threshold measurements, screening test and blue-yellow perimetry, each one with its own characteristics. Current indices and presentations allow the reliable and quick interpretation of results. As with any examination, one should not neglect the factors that may alter the visual field, the main one being the learning effect.
