Posterior segment complication of glaucoma surgery

Glaucoma surgical procedures can be summarized as penetrating filtran procedures, non-penetrating filtran procedures and cilary body ablation procedures. Posterior segment complications of glaucoma surgery can be classified as hipotony associated complications that are decompression retinopathy, choroidal detachment, choroidal haemorrhage and hypotony maculopathy, and hypotoni unrelated complications which are infective endophthalmitis and bleb-related endophthalmitis.
