AIM: To review and analyse the materials of 30 patients suffering from viral keratitis after intraocular surgery from 2007 to 2009 in our hospital. METHODS: Thirty patients were included with 18 patients of cataract surgery; 9 patients of vitrectomy and 3 patients of glaucoma surgery. The history of disease,time of onset symptoms ocular examnation and treatmentwere analyzed.RESULTS-. Eighteen patients had medical history of viralkeratitis or severe viral conjunctivitis; 6 patients had coldor gastral disease. All the patients had various degreeirritative symptoms. All the patients had corneal invasive focus or arborization focus and recovered after antivirus therapy. CONCLUSION: Viral keratitis after intraocular surgery is closely related with medical history of viral keratitis or severe viral conjunctivitis, low immunity, tear film stability, injure of corneal endothelium and mega-dose hormone after surgery. Early detection and treatment are the most important things. LA: Chinese
