Clinical observation of triple surgery in the treatment of glaucoma with cataract

AIM: To observe the therapeutic effect of phacoemulsification, posterior chamber intraocular lens implantation and trabeculectomy (triple surgery) in the treatment of glaucoma with cataract. METHODS: Triple surgery was performed in 62 patients 68 eyes with glaucoma and cataract, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, bleb and complications were observed. RESULTS: Follow-up was 6-50 (mean 16.8) months. The postoperative vision was improved in varying degrees. The postoperative intraocular pressure was controlled in normal range. CONCLUSION: Triple surgery in the treatment of glaucoma with cataract can better control the intraocular pressure, and can quickly obtain good vision with fewer complications.LA: Chinese
