A retrospective study determined the prevalence of traumatic glaucoma in an urban referral clinic in India as well as the mode of injury, ocular changes, and treatment. One thousand serial case records of glaucoma were screened, and angle status was determined. The prevalence rate was 34 per 1000 cases. Hyphema and iridodialysis were involved with angle-recession glaucoma. Most patients without angle recession were amenable to treatment with topical drugs alone. Patients with angle recession required systemic drugs or surgery.
