Patients with secondary glaucoma associated with juvenile chronic iridocyclitis are a high-risk group for failure of conventional filtering surgery. They are young patients with very thin conjunctivae, with a history of chronic iritis and previous ocular surgery, and usually have been on topical medications for glaucoma for many years. Our experience with the role of filtering surgery and intraoperative mitomycin-C in this rare group of patients is presented.
