A 61-year-old woman was referred to us with a recent history of decreasing near visual acuity in both eyes. Her corrected visual acuity was 20/20 each. Her intaocular pressure was 13 mmHg each. Funduscopy showed large glaucomatous disc cupping in both eyes. Automated perimetry showed superior nasal quadrantanopsia in the right eye. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed a large calcified lesion in the C1-C3 segment of the right internal carotid artery. Angiography showed tortuosity and enlargement in the affected artery. This case illustrates that pseudoglaucoma may result as compressive neuropathy due to calcified internal carotid artery.LA: Japanese
