In this series of clinical guidelines for glaucoma, the author discusses several aspects of IOP measurement, visual field examination, and some extra tests such as spatial and temporal contrast sensitivity. Finally, the pattern ERG is mentioned. The author feels that an analysis of the disc and retinal nerve fiber layer is indispensable in clinical practice, just as automated white-on-white and blue-on-yellow perimetry. Furthermore, he includes Kanazek perimetry which is hardly used elsewhere. He feels that measurement of contrast sensitivity is useful and that the future consists of movement perimetry and tomography and optical coherent tomography.LA: French
