These authors describe a case of glaucoma induced by docetaxel therapy for metastatic breast cancer. The case is a 31 years old woman with metastic breast carcinoma who received 10 months of chemothreapy. For the next twelf months she did not receive any chemotherapy. She developed a pronounced increase of intraocular pressure in both eyes. Discs and field were normal and the angles were wide open. These authors feel that if the glaucoma is not due to the steroid treatment because she had received steroids long before the taxane treatment. It was up to the first and second treatment that she developed high pressures. They believe that fluid retention is the cause of the glaucoma.
