The current role of argon laser trabeculoplasty in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma is still open to discussion. To evaluate the effectiveness of ALT, the authors performed a study on 36 patients who were followed for two years. They noted a success rate of 61.11% after two years and noticed that this rate decreased with time. ALT should be considered an intermediate therapy in the management of open-angle glaucoma, after drug therapy has failed and before filtering surgery is performed. LA: <#>
