The authors reviewed 113 eyes of 99 patients who underwent trabeculectomy with mitomycin C for glaucoma and who showed well-controlled intraocular pressure (IOP) for one year after surgery. Their ages averaged 57 years. The follow-up period averaged 32.7 months postoperatively. The rate of IOP control below 21 mmHg without medication was over 80% up to four years after surgery by Kaplan-Meier analysis. Thereafter, the rate decreased to 67.9% at the final examination, particularly in eyes with uveitis and with multiple surgery. There were three eyes with transient ocular hypotony. LA: Japanese
