The authors reviewed 33 eyes treated by nonperforating trabeculectomy with adjunct mitomycin C. The conjunctival flap was limbus-based in 17 eyes and fornix-based in 16 eyes. All the eyes had primary open-angle glaucoma. The preoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) averaged 20 mmHg in the limbus-based group and 21 mmHg in the fornix-based group. After a follow-up of six months or longer, the final IOP averaged 12.2 mmHg in the limbus-based group and 12.5 mmHg in the fornix-based group. Both approaches were effective with no significant difference between the two groups. LA: Japanese
