Endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP) is laser treatment of the ciliary processes with direct visualization using a small video camera for the purpose of lowering intraocular pressure. It was traditionally reserved for management of refractory glaucoma, but is now increasingly used as an adjunct to cataract surgery in less advanced glaucoma. Here, we present a review of the literature evaluating ECP's safety and efficacy in different forms of glaucoma with different degrees of progression.
