The childhood glaucoma presents high blindness and requires high quality of surgical treatment, laying heavy burdens on patients' families and the society. So far, there is no widely accepted standard and consensus on the surgical treatment for childhood glaucoma. Angle surgery and trabeculotomy, especially microcatheter-assisted circumferential trabeculotomy, have a good therapeutic effect on childhood glaucoma. Established consensus and popularization of the new surgery can significantly improve the success rate of treatment for childhood glaucoma.
