Standards for the measuring check of eye tonometers: comparative measurements with 50 test apparatuses

Different eye tonometers are available for the measurement of intraocular pressure. In Germany, these devices must be tested every two years. For this test, special apparatuses were developed by the 'Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt', and these are checked comparatively during seminars organized by that institute or during educational events at the 'Deutsche Akademie für Metrologie'. Fifty test apparatuses were compared during a Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt seminar. These comparisons show the suitability of these devices for measuring eye tonometers. LA: German
