PURPOSE: To describe 4 eyes that were treated by preserved cornea to repair of the leaking filtration bleb. CASES AND METHOD: The present series included 4 eyes of 4 patients. Their age ranged from 55 to 73 years, average 63 years. The previous surgeries comprised: Scheie procedure 42 years before in one eye, mitomycin C-assisted trabeculectomy 3.5 and 4 years in one eye each, and surgery for buphthalmos 48 years before in one eye. The repairing surgery consisted of bleb removal, patching by preserved cornea, and covering by conjunctiva. RESULTS: All the eyes showed focally elevated conjunctiva and no leakage. Final intraocular pressure ranged from 13 to 18 mmHg in 3 eyes and 24 mmHg in one eye. CONCLUSION: Leaking filtration blebs could be repaired by using preserved corneal graft without inducing elevation of intraocular pressure. LA: Japanese
