Nonpenetrating sclerectomy

Deep sclerectomy is a true external sclerotrabeculectomy. By selectively increasing the aqueous humor outflow through the trabecula and Schlemm's canal without anterior chamber penetration, deep sclerectomy is the most physiological surgical technique in glaucoma. Nevertheless, this technique requires accurate knowledge of anterior chamber anatomy and accurate dissection. LA: French
