A 59 year old woman was diagnosed with depression and she commenced treatment with Paroxetine, after five days of treatment she complained of painful eyes with blurred vision. Ophthalmic examination revealed bilateral acute angle closure glaucoma with intraocular pressures measured of 60 and 36 mmHg in the right and left eyes, respectively. These symptoms disappeared and intraocular pressure normalized after she started treatment with ocular hypotensive agents and pilocarpine, and the withdrawal of Paroxetine. This case suggests a possible relationship between ingestion of Paroxetine and appearance of acute glaucoma. LA: Spanish
