This author reports from his long-standing experience with congenital glaucoma. He believes that two often the visual function in eyes with congenital glaucoma is unnecessarily reduced. Even if the normalization of the intraocular pressure is an important goal a second almost as important goal is the development of the visual function in these children. This means that intensive amblyopia treatment have to take place.
