The authors diagnosed two cases as empty sella syndrome based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Both had been initially diagnosed as normal-tension glaucoma. One case manifested binasal hemianopia which appeared to be secondary to intracranial lesions. The other showed typical glaucomatous changes in the visual field and optic disc in both eyes. These cases illustrate that empty sella syndrome and normal-tension glaucoma may occasionally co-exist and that this possibility would merit due consideration in the diagnosis and therapeutic approach.
