OBJECTIVE: To look for a culture method for bovin trabecular cells in vitro in order to provide the necessary conditions for the experimental study of primary open angle glaucoma (POAG). METHODS: 0.25% pencreatin and 0.3% collagenase were equally mixed to obtain primary bovine trabecular meshwork cells, and only 0.25% pencreatin for the passage of culture. RESULTS: Stable growth status of bovine trabecular meshwork cells were successful cultured by digestion method in vitro. CONCLUSION: The digestion method can be used for the primary and passage culture of trabecular meshwork cells. LA: Chinese
