Progress in glaucoma retinal ganglion cells injury

Glaucoma is a major eye disease which results in blindness, with the in-depth study of glaucoma, gradually considering that high intraocular pressure and/or ischemia causes retinal ganglion cells to lost by apoptosis manner, and neurotrophic factor, glutamate, nitric oxide, calcium and free radical changes in the process of retinal ganglion cells apoptosis.
