The paper by Zeitz (640) et al. shows interesting results with regard to an increased peak systolic velocity and enddiastolic velocity - measured by colour doppler imaging - after application of bimatoprost, latanoprost and dorzolamide in progressive normal pressure glaucoma patients. These changes, however, proved only to be significant with regard to the PSV in the dorzolamide treated group. Whether these changes were induced by demographic differences remains unclear, as there are no details (age, sex, accompanying diseases, etc.) given.

For claiming these differences the groups examined seem to be rather small and a crossover design would have been more appropriate. Furthermore there are no data available whether systemic parameters like heart rate and blood pressure may have influenced these results.
