1. The correlation coefficient between mean RNFL thickness around the optic disc and mean deviation of the HFA in OAG eyes was greater when using the Fourier domain OCT (FD-OCT) than the Time domain OCT (TD-OCT). RNFL thickness measured with the FD-OCT was more sensitively correlated with VFD in OAG eyes. (R. Sakata et al., Tokyo)
2. Late complications of trabeculectomy MMC0.4% or MMC0.2% did not differ significantly. However, the MMC0.4% group carried higher complete success rates. (S. Srisamran et al., Bangkok)
3. In 35 glaucoma eyes that had undergone Ahmed glaucoma valve (AGV) implantation, there was a statistically significant corneal endothelial cell loss in the operated eye after implant surgery, compared to the other eye. 4. Dynamic contour tonometry( DCT) measurements in normal subjects seem to provide an estimate of IOP that is less influenced by central corneal thickness than those provided by Goldmann applanation tonometry. (S. Jamorsuwan)
5. IOP reducing efficacy of Bimatoprost 0.03% in chronic angle closure glaucoma with 360 degree synechial closure is comparable to patients with primary open angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. (N. Choithram)
6. A population-based study, the Tajimi Study, revealed that the mean intraocular pressure by Goldmann applanation tonometry (GAP) was 14.5mmHg in adult non-glaucoma Japanese aged 40 yrs or older. (A. Iwase)
7. Anterior segment optical coherence tomography (Visante OCT) is a commercially available imaging device enabling non-invasive and non-contact analysis of the anterior chamber(AC). It provided images of the scleral spur, angle recess and canal of Schlemm. In narrow angle group(57 eyes) and open angle group(60 eyes), Visante OCT was able to non-invasively visualize the AC angle in all eyes of the open angle group and in 94.7% of the narrow angle group. 8. Four consecutive patients with neovascular glaucoma (NVG) due to proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR), intravitreal avastin○,R leads to a rapid regression of iris and angle neovascularization even in patients who had undergone PRP along with vitrectomy. (Y. Kita)
9. In 30 eyes of 30 open angle glaucoma (OAG) patients, three-dimensional mapping
   of RNFL thickness determined with the Fourier-domain OCT is useful to detect RNFL defects in OAG eyes especially in myopic eyes. (S. Konno)
10. Needle revision (NR) followed by subconjunctival injection of 0.1ml of 0.02 rather than 0.1mg/ml MMC is an effective method for the treatment of the failed filtering blebs after trabeculectomy. (S. Hyung)
