The Andhra Pradesh eye study identified the prevalence
of manifest PACG to be 1.08% in individuals of 40 years of age and older,
with an additional 2.21% having occludable angles. The prevalence of
POAG was 2.65% in the same population.
POBF in normal Indian subjects was 1382 ± 413 ul/min.
This is higher than that reported in previous studies.
FDP defects had good correlation with SAP, but were
more extensive. FDP corresponded best with retinal nerve fiber layer

Mitomycin C 0.2 mg/ml was as effective as 0.4 mg/ml
in primary glaucomas. Complications were more frequent with 0.4 mg/ml.
Deep sclerectomy, even with application of mitomycin
C, was less effective than trabeculectomy.
Diode laser cyclophotocoagulation had a 92 % success
rate in refractory glaucoma. Retreatment was necessary in 22 of 52 eyes.
