OBJECTIVE: To investigate the relationship between intraocular pressure (IOP) and central corneal thickness (CCT), axial length of globe (ALG), coefficient of ocular rigidity (COR) in primary open angle glaucoma (POAG) patients with myopia and normal subjects, and to evaluate the diagnostic value of these indicators to POAG. METHODS: CCT, ALG, COR and IOP were measured in 210 POAG cases and 116 normal subjects. The difference between the two groups was compared. RESULTS: In normal subjects, CCT and ALG were positively correlated with IOP (r = 0.351, r2 = 0.883). There was a significant difference in CCT and ALG between POAG and normal subjects. CONCLUSION: Recognizing the clinical characteristics of myopia is helpful to early diagnosis of POAG with myopia. LA: Chinese
