Trabeculectomy is an important therapy for glaucoma. The failing rate of glaucoma filtration surgery is high. The major cause of failure is wound healing caused by fibroblast proliferation and scar formation in filtration site. Therefore it is necessary to perform modified trabeculectomy combining regulation technique in modern time. Trabeculectomy combining regulation technique is the development of trabeculectomy in the 21st century.
