AIM: To explore the effect of phacoemulsification (PHACO) combined with trabeculectomy. METHODS: PHACO combined with trabeculectomy under sclera tunnel incisions were performed in 102 eyes. RESULTS: During the 2-16 months of follow-up, the average IOP changed from presurgical 24.82 mmHg (1 mmHg = 0.133kPa) to 16.52 mmHg. Aqueous humor fluency coefficients were 0.30. 81.5% cases has functional follicle. Visual acuity over 0.3 was achieved in 79.4% patients. CONCLUSION: PHACO combined with trabeculectomy under sclera tunnel incisions can achieved better visual acuity, IOP control and reduce medicine cost. LA: Chinese
