AIM: To investigate the effect of combining surgical approach in the management of malignant glaucoma in phakic eyes with central vitrectomy-phacoemulsification-intraocular lens implantation-anterior segment vitrectomy. METHODS: Ten cases (11 eyes) of magligant glaucoma complicated with trabeculectomy were experienced the combined procedure. Clinical data of the patients were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: The follow-up time was 3-6 months. Anterior Chamber was shaped, the IOP was steady under 21 mmHg, and the visual acuity was improved in various degree. CONCLUSION: Central vitrectomy-phacoemulsification-intraocular lens implantation-anterior segment vitrectomy seems to be effective in the management of malignant glaucoma in phakic eyes. LA: Chinese
