Traumatic hyphema in 158 cases

AIM: To investigate the treatment method of traumatic hyphema according to different degrees. METHODS: Admitted to our hospital from 2005-01 to 2009-02, 158 cases of traumatic hyphema were analyzed retrospectively. RESULTS: I and II stage of traumatic hyphema without further bleeding and secondary glaucoma was of good prognosis. III level of traumatic hyphema, especially with re-bleeding and secondary glaucoma was of poor prognosis. CONCLUSION: Proper treatment, the grasp of correct traumatic hyphema operation time and a proper surgical approach are the key measures to improve treatment effect.LA: Chinese
