Labbe et al. (862) provide very detailed confocal images of microcysts and subepithelial connective tissue that corresponds nicely with what one sees on pathology slides from similar cases. This instrument may provide a means of monitoring healing after filtering surgery that will amplify the detail of what one can see with standard clinical examination.
