MERGER OF WGC AND IGS

The organisers of the World Glaucoma Congress (the WGA) and the International Glaucoma Symposium (the IGS Executive Committee) have agreed to merge the two meetings. The IGS in March 2007, Athens and the WGC in July 2007, Singapore will be the last separate meetings. The first merged meeting will be held in 2009, in North America. The WGC and the IGS are the only global biennial glaucoma meetings. The merged meeting will be

serving over seventy national and regional Glaucoma Societies, its Glaucoma Industry Members and the worldwide Glaucoma Patient Organizations. The merged meeting will provide the very best in glaucoma education for comprehensive ophthalmologists and an opportunity for all those involved in glaucoma from throughout the world to network and learn from each other. There is a bright future for glaucoma.
